Am I doomed?
Allo.
I'm still new to Guild Wars, and when I made my first character - my Warrior a few days ago I chose Elementalist as my secondary class. Did I go wrong? I think maybe monk would of been a better choice..so I can heal myself + my teammates. What do you all think?

A warriors job is to deal damage. Going W/Mo so you can heal others isn't your job, it's a monks job.
Warriors don't really need a second profession to be effective. A pure warrior skillbar is quite good. Also, you can change your secondary profession later in the game.

Yeah, I guess your right. To be honest I never really trust other people to heal me, in PvP mostly on every single MMORPG i've ever played. For whatever reason people usually forget about me.

If you don't trust someone to heal you, pack a self-heal (like Healing Signet) and learn to use it properly.

gw is a team game. make sure you have the mindset of a warrior class while playing. your objective is to deal melee damage, hold some aggro, but mostly do damage. only use secondary class skills that help you do this. the only ele skills i can think of are the conjures ([skill]Conjure Lightning[/skill][skill]Conjure Flame[/skill][skill]Conjure Frost[/skill]) monk skills like condition removal are good. not healing, for healing you want [skill]Healing Signet[/skill]

Hard mode. But yes, I agree, it's not a good skill for a new player.
